G-Wagen Adjustable Shocks by FOX Newly-Softened Design
*Please see our important note about FOX Shox at the bottom of this product description
Once upon a time, the FOX Shox for G-Wagen were made for the much heavier military version of the G. When owners of the W463 tried using the FOX Shox, most felt that FOX Shox were too stiff. FOX updated their shocks for G-Wagen to dramatically improve on the old shocks, so PROBLEM SOLVED!
The most important item that will soften the ride on a vehicle is the shocks. That is what FOX Shocks has accomplished here with their improved adjustable racing shocks for the G-Wagen. In the informal words of a friend of ours that reviews off road / overlanding vehicle products over at Overland Journal: "...a much softer ride, but also better overall control through the suspension cycle, particularly on rebound."
With 9 clicks on the adjustment dial, Fox gives you a wide range of settings from hard to soft. You choose.
Fox is a company that has been around for several decades making performance shocks for dirt bikes, mountain bikes, off-road race trucks, and desert racers. With all that know-how they have their collective experience into the performance reservoir shocks for the G-Class trucks. They can ride soft or they can be dialed in for performance. Your choice.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Please DO NOT compress these shocks manually ahead of installation. An inner seal may collapse, damaging the functionality of your shocks and causing oil to spill. FOX will not apply the warranty in this instance, stating that you failed to follow instructions. They have their own means by which to inspect the shocks and determine this. They ask that, in handling these shocks, you follow the instructions literally and that the instructions do not direct users to manually compress the shocks ahead of installation. It is important that you communicate this to your mechanic so that (s)he not damage your shocks.
